LEADING CRANE SERVICES (LCS) is a locally owned business specialising in servicing and repairs of overhead cranes. Our strong customer base throughout South Australia includes metro, rural and outback mining clients, giving our staff a broad range of sites and equipment to keep work interesting. We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious Electrician to join our successful team in the Crane Department.

Full time

Salary: $76,000 – $85,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Capable of carrying out inspections and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical parts of Overhead Electrical Cranes & Hoists
  • Fault finding and trouble-shooting electrical issues and breakdowns
  • Able to read wiring diagrams and specifications to determine methods of operation
  • Utilising electrical and electronic testing tools to identify and diagnose faults
  • Testing of machinery before, during and after repairs, maintenance and rebuilds
  • Preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Have awareness and knowledge of the OHS requirements
  • Ability to gather and present job reports/findings in a presentable manner
  • Repair and replace faulty wiring including cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, or non-compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • Trade Qualified Electrician
  • Current Driver's License
  • Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
  • High Risk License - EWP (preferred)
  • Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably Cert III or Cert IV Including at least two years of relevant experience
