Our client is a financial services provider and they are currently looking for an IT Support Analyst to join them and support services for all aspects of the IT ecosystem, including laptops, and financial systems. As first responders to IT-related issues, you will play a pivotal role in rapidly diagnosing and resolving issues affecting our members and staff. An in-depth knowledge of business software and hardware is essential to effectively address a wide range of potential issues. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle stressful situations are crucial, as IT Support Analysts are the first point of contact for staff experiencing IT issues.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.
  • Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.
  • Maintaining healthy rapport with customers and service providers.
  • Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
  • Tracking and managing work records.
  • Escalating issues to management, service providers, or senior engineers when appropriate.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the IT ecosystem and its functions for various business units.
  • Participating in applicable corporate or department projects.
  • Advising on financial application products and services configuration (process and set up).
  • Collaborating with other areas and personnel for the delivery of IT and Telephony Services.
  • Delivering services in accordance with all codes, standards, legislative requirements, and the companies policies and procedures.
  • Meeting individual and department targets/Key Performance Indicators as set by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimising system downtime due to IT incidents and problems by resolving issues quickly.
  • Leading the investigation and implementation of measures to prevent the occurrence of incidents.
  • Engaging and managing third-party suppliers for the delivery of outsourced services.
  • Providing application and technical support for staff.
  • Performing prescribed regular operational and housekeeping tasks.
  • Undertaking other tasks as reasonably directed by your manager from time to time.
  • Participating positively and constructively in regular meetings and corporate projects.
