About the role

Grade 1 positions within Eastern Health Physiotherapy offer comprehensive clinical experience as part of a large, vibrant physiotherapy department with a commitment to providing high-quality, innovative health care that delivers best-practice and patient-centred outcomes.

As part of Eastern Health Physiotherapy's strong team focus, involvement in our supervisory, quality and professional development programs is actively encouraged including supported opportunities for senior grade 1 staff on our governance committees, introduction to quality improvement methodology and potential contribution to supported supervision of students in our La Trobe University Eastern Health Physiotherapy Clinical School.

If in your graduate year, this role will be an active participant of the Eastern Health Allied Health Transition to Practice Graduate program over the 3-year period.

Classifications for this position will range from VA3 - VA7 ($69,206 - $84,188 per annum, based on years of experience).

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Have recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
• Have registration as appropriate to requirements of AHPRA
• Be eligible for practicing membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
• Demonstrate knowledge of clinical theory and practice relevant to hospital-based care
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of client-centred care & goal setting with clients across the continuum
• Be a strong communicator - both oral and written
• Willingness to learn and grow

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
