About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Sales Assistant to join our Hervey Bay store. We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service and retail knowledge with preferable Hospitality experience, however not essential. The role also includes stock management, store presentation, cleaning and point of sale transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing professional, friendly customer service in store, over the phone and through online platforms
  • Maintaining stock and presentation of our showroom
  • Providing customers with product advice and assisting with solutions if required – Training will be provided
  • Restock shelves, receive deliveries and maintain merchandise on the showroom floor
  • Generate customer sales invoices and receipts for purchases made
  • Assist with store open and closing procedures
  • Working as part of a small, valued and collaborative team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a customer retail role preferably in the hospitality industry (not essential as training will be provided)
  • Strong customer service and great communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team member in a small team environment and be able to take initiative and lead when needed
  • Personal presentation of neat and tidy appearance. Be reliable and punctual.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Basic computer understanding required for point of sales transactions
  • The ability to work Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.00pm) no weekends
  • Immediate start available

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $33.19 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
