Able Aged Care Australia is a boutique provider of comprehensive community services for aged care Home Care Package (HCP) recipients in Metropolitan Southern NSW LHD. We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate registered nurses to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Medication Management: Administer medications, ensure adherence to prescribed schedules, and monitor for side effects.
  • Wound Care: Clean wounds, perform dressing changes, and monitor for signs of infection or complications.
  • Health Assessments: Conduct regular health checks, monitor vital signs, and update care plans based on assessments. For example:
  • FRAT assessment
  • BRADEN assessment
  • Diabetes assessment
  • Continence Assessment
  • RUDAS assessment
  • Chronic Disease Management: Support clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in a second language, including but not limited to Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Hindi, and Vietnamese.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • AHPRA Registration
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • ABN
  • Independent contractor work rights
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance of $10M each
  • National Police Clearance
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
