About the role

Join the dedicated healthcare team at Perth Day Hospital as a Part-Time Personal Care Assistant (PCA). In this essential role, you will provide high-quality patient-focused care, supporting our nursing staff and contributing to the overall wellbeing of our patients. With a focus on general and surgical nursing, you will work in a modern, well-equipped facility located in Osborne Park, WA.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene and mobility
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following infection control protocols
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Attend to any other duties as required to support the nursing team

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working as a PCA or in a similar patient care role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and provide compassionate care
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and protocols
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
  • Understanding of infection control and workplace health and safety practices
