residential care officer

As a Residential Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting children, families, and individuals with disabilities in group housing and service units. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, create personalized care programs, and provide hands-on assistance to help them thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with participants and other stakeholders to develop individualized support plans as well as monitoring participant's progress, and review of the support plans as required.
- Provide direct care and support for children, families, and participants with disabilities in residential settings.
- Conduct client interviews to identify challenges, explore innovative tailored solutions and implement the same.
- Supervise and manage local staffing teams to ensure continuity of supports at all times.
- Monitor client progress, prepare detailed reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare funding proposals, resource requests, and formal reports to secure support from relevant agencies.
What We're Looking For
- A compassionate and professional individual with a strong commitment to client well-being.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in community services or a similar field. Experience in social work, disability services, or residential care is highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field. For applicants with relevant experience and do not hold the relevant qualifications must be enrolled and undertake to complete the applicable qualification within 12 months of commencement.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and liaise effectively with external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of care standards, safety protocols, and funding application processes.
