Myndshift Group have been engaged for a specific project to recruit 2 X Boilermakers for our clients newly awarded contract extension at their mining project close to the township of Glenden. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on a large fleet of HME consisting of the below.

FLEET:

  • Liebherr 9800, 9400, 9350, Hitachi EX3600 Excavators
  • Hitachi EH5000 & CAT 794 Electric Trucks
  • D10 & D11 Dozers
  • 16M & 24M graders

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • 7/7 DS/NS Roster - 12.5hr shifts
  • Annualised fortnightly pay
  • Full time permanent position
  • Camp accommodation Supplied
  • Company provided bus transport to and from Mackay & Townsville

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform bucket and tray rebuild and repairs
  • Heavy fabrication work on excavator booms and truck chassis
  • General design and fabrication works
  • Conduct required inspection to maximise equipment utilisation
  • Complete accurate Job Planning Sheets
  • Set and maintaining high housekeeping standards
  • Work within a team environment to meet deadlines

COMPETANCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proficient in performing all welding, gouging, cutting or other duties
  • Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent
  • Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry
  • Mobile plant equipment & heavy welding experience (essential)
  • Current Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence highly regarded)
  • Current Standard 11
