Design /Delivery Lead, Major Projects

Redpath Partners are working exclusively with a leading Australian-owned construction business who are seeking a seasoned construction professional with a strong design/delivery background to join their senior leadership team in Sydney.
This is a key strategic role overseeing the design function across complex, large-scale projects. You'll work closely with Project Directors and Design Directors to drive quality outcomes, ensure compliance, mitigate design risk, and maximise commercial opportunities - all while strengthening long-term capability across the business.
You'll play an active role in shaping business-wide design management processes, contributing to leadership meetings, and driving continuous improvement across major project delivery.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong commercial insight, and a passion for mentoring and upskilling delivery teams. This role is suited to a hands-on leader who thrives on driving design governance & evolving a businesses design process.
The ideal candidate will have approximately 20+ years of experience in construction, architecture, or engineering, and want to influence outcomes at a strategic level, I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
