
Pastoral Care Volunteer

We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to visit a lovely elderly woman in Rooty Hill. Originally from Italy, she is a devout Catholic with a deep love for family and creative hobbies like sewing and knitting. She would truly benefit from an Italian-speaking volunteer who can offer companionship, prayer, and spiritual support during this meaningful season of her life.
You'll supplement and complement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction you may:
* Support people to meet their spiritual needs
* Nurture spiritual development
Skills required for this role:
High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.
Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training- Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
