Assistant Director

Children First Early Education Mitcham is looking a passionate and skilled Assistant Director to join our growing team

As a key part of the leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and developing educators & early childhood teachers in your centre, as well as implementing the educational program and experiences to meet the individual needs of our children.

About your new role:

• Assist with managing day-to-day operations in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies.
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to our dedicated staff.
• Your passion and enthusiasm will see you assisting in leading a classroom by effectively engaging with children, families, educators, and the wider community.
• You will implement the educational program and experiences to meet the individual needs of our children.
• Effectively handling and managing the centre's staffing rosters and financial requirements in line with budget guidelines.
• Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with children, families, educators, the local business community, and all stakeholders.
• Actively participating in attracting, converting, and retaining families through effective management of tours, enrolments, and orientation in collaboration with our Enrolments Team.

About you:

• Hold a Diploma in Children's Services or an Early Childhood Degree approved by ACECQA.
• Previous 2 years experience as an Assistant Director in an early childhood setting.
• Current WWCC, approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma qualifications
• Exhibit an extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
• The ability to implement stimulating programs, and develop a curriculum based on the children's interests and the EYLF.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Showcase the ability to lead and mentor a team of dedicated early childhood professionals.
• Demonstrate the ability to incorporate critical thinking and reflective practice into daily operations.
