Randstad has partnered with a well-established Tasmanian business that's built a solid reputation for looking after its people and getting the job done right. We're on the lookout for a qualified Panel Beater to join their tight-knit team, working across everything from light vehicles to big gear like trucks, buses and heavy earth moving machinery.
This is a great opportunity to get stuck into rewarding work, in a team that values safety, mateship and getting the job done to a high standard.
About the RoleAs a Panel Beater, your day-to-day will see you working on a variety of repairs - from basic dents to full panel replacements and restorations.
Duties include:
- Carrying out quality repairs on a range of vehicles and machinery
- Assessing damage and planning out the repair process
- Working from job sheets and following OEM specs
- Using a range of tools to straighten, reshape and align panels and frames
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe
- Supporting and mentoring team members, including apprentices
You'll need to be trade qualified (or close to finishing), with a solid work ethic and a keen eye for detail.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Cert III in Panel Beating (or close to finishing your trade
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a small team
- Experience working on a mix of vehicles and gear (plant/trucks/cars)
- A strong safety mindset
- Great time management and pride in your work
- Fibreglass experience is handy, but not a deal breaker
- A workplace that puts safety and people first
- A supportive team that values hard work and reliability
