Job Description:
Are you an insightful property market expert with a talent for turning complex data into compelling insights? Cotality is seeking a Head of Australian Research to be the authoritative voice of our property market.

In this role, you'll produce timely, relevant research content, from weekly market updates to flagship reports and act as a company spokesperson through keynote presentations, market briefings, media commentary, and engaging multi-channel content. You'll work closely with marketing teams to amplify Cotality's brand and support revenue growth through speaking engagements, report syndication, and high-value client support.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Developing and delivering a content schedule including weekly market blogs, regular flagship reports, and topical research publications.
  • Act as a Cotality spokesperson, engaging with print, radio, TV, and online media to provide expert commentary and respond to key market events.
  • Delivering compelling keynote presentations and tailored briefings to industry bodies, clients, and consumers enhancing brand awareness and positioning Cotality as the number one voice in property analysis and thought leadership.
  • Maintaining data quality and integrity, collaborating with analytics, data, and product teams to ensure research outputs are accurate, timely, and meet high standards.
  • Identifying revenue opportunities via public speaking, report syndication, and consulting activities.
  • Supporting clients with tailored market insights and contributing to cross-functional projects including marketing campaigns and strategic planning.
  • Managing travel commitments, primarily between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other regional centres, to deliver presentations and engage with stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:
What you will bring:

  • Experience as a research leader or senior economist with a strong track record in property market analysis or related fields.
  • Formal qualifications in economics, finance or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and demonstrated experience as a confident media spokesperson, comfortable engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Skills in producing engaging research content that drives brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • You are able to work collaboratively across teams including media, social media, analytics, and product.
  • You are comfortable with regular travel to key Australian cities and regional locations.
  • You are commercially minded with an understanding of revenue generation through research products and consulting.
