We are currently recruiting qualified Mechanical Fitters to join established workshop operations in the Latrobe Valley, supporting major repair and maintenance programs across heavy industry.

This is an opportunity to step into a professional workshop environment where your trade expertise is valued, quality standards matter, and you'll be working on substantial industrial equipment that keeps Australia's infrastructure moving.

What you'll be doing

  • Workshop-based mechanical fitting, assembly and repair work
  • Disassembly, inspection and reassembly of heavy components
  • Precision fitting including measuring and mechanical assembly to specification
  • Using hand tools, precision machining & measuring equipment as well as overhead lifting equipment
  • Reading technical drawings, work instructions and quality procedures
  • Collaborating with experienced teams to deliver high-quality outcomes

About You

  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner (essential)
  • Proven post-trade workshop or heavy industry experience (4+ years ideal)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Competent with measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and instructions
  • Background in heavy industry, energy, mining or large-scale manufacturing (highly regarded)
