About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Maxwell and Lancaster Solicitors, in a full-time position as a paralegal. As a paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our Solicitors in various areas of law, including property law, wills and estates, and general administration tasks, ensuring a simple, and stress-free experience for our clients.
Tasks associated with the role
Independent management and handling of day-to-day tasks associated with conveyancing transactions and e-lodgments when needed, which may include but are not limited to the preparation and execution of client documentation, managing client correspondence, liaising and coordinating with external parties such as real estate agents and financial institutions as needed.
Assist our Solicitors with the preparation and collation of documentation for leasing matters, wills and enduring powers of attorney, and other administrative tasks associated in these areas of law as and when required.
Maintain client files and records with up to date information and simultaneously ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Provide excellent service to our clients at all times throughout their transactions.
Work collaboratively with other members from our team to ensure the efficient and timely completion of all legal, and administrative transactions.
What we're looking for
While not essential, some background knowledge in the conveyancing process either as a previous conveyancer, legal secretary or similar role in the property-related environment would be ideal.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to cope with time sensitive tasks and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, solicitors, fellow staff, and other relevant parties.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to show initiative and work independently. Our ideal candidate is willing and able, to complete training both independently (through self-guided training modules), as well as be guided by team members, to ensure efficient knowledge and skills are built to perform in this role at a high level.
The ability to work productively in a team environment and assist other staff members with their workload when able.
