About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert. Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

The Opportunity:
As a Receptionist at Ngaanyatjarra Council Group , you will be the welcoming face of our organisation, serving as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and internal stakeholders. Your role will be essential in creating a professional and positive impression that reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
In this full-time position, based in the heart of Perth CBD and within walking distance from the train station, you will manage a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our office.
Your responsibilities will include greeting visitors, answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and providing administrative support to the team. You will play a vital role in scheduling meetings and ensuring our facilities are prepared for both internal and external engagements. Your attention to detail, initiative, and ability to multitask will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment.
About You:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional service. You will have previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, with a strong focus on booking travel arrangements in high volumes.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to engage effectively with clients, visitors, and colleagues alike. You take pride in your professional presentation and understand the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.
You are highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess exceptional attention to detail ensuring that all arrangements and documentation are accurate and timely. Your initiative and problem-solving abilities will shine as you navigate day-to-day challenges with a positive attitude.
