About The Role

Masada Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our 30-bed Orthopaedic/Aged Care Rehabilitation Unit. This role is available on a full-time basis and offers the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team. This role is open to Grade 1 and Grade 2 Occupational Therapists depending on level of experience.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions across a diverse caseload, including adult inpatients in acute wards, inpatient rehabilitation, and day rehabilitation. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and students, contributing to clinical education and supporting ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services across acute, rehabilitation, and day rehab settings
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and support hospital discharge planning
• Mentor and supervise junior therapists and students
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Participate in departmental quality improvement projects
• Contribute to staff and community education on Occupational Therapy services

 Essential Criteria

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
• Current and unconditional registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience in hospital settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality improvement and service development.

 Desirable Criteria

• Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation.
• Membership with OT Australia (or working towards accreditation).
