Role Title: Solar Sales Consultant
Position Status: Full time
Expected hours of work: Standard hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., predominantly office based + customer site visits expected.
Great opportunity for an experienced sales consultant (min. 2 years in the industry) to join a passionate solar and electrification solutions company. ROLE
As a Sales Consultant at Total Solar Solutions Australia, you will be selling a variety of technologies to help our customers reduce their energy costs and grid dependence. These technologies include solar power, battery storage, EV charging, heat pump hot water, air conditioning and more.
To secure this sales position you will be highly customer focused, driven, honest and technically minded. Many of our projects are for repeat customers interested in buying a variety of solutions – your ability to build and maintain relationships, provide holistic solutions and honest advice will be critical.
Also important will be your collaborative attitude as a team-player to help ensure your jobs are diligently handed over for seamless delivery by our experienced Administration and Installation teams.
While this role is intended to focus on residential sales, the right applicant may also be exposed to large-scale commercial opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The focus of this position consists of the following areas:
Handling customer enquiries
Understanding customer requirements and motivations; providing honest and accurate advice; vetting lead quality; building rapport; highly responsive to customer enquiry
Providing quotes and closing sales
Using systems correctly and efficiently to generate accurate customer-specific proposals in a timely manner; diligent tracking of all leads/quotes through internal systems; responsive to customer requests for further information; ability build trust with customers, convert sales and cross-sell as appropriate; follow pricing structure provided by Management.
Site inspections
Complete regular site inspections, as appropriate (expected for most customers), and work in a safe and respectful manner.
Handing over sales for delivery
Careful system design and thorough handover of all necessary information for seamless delivery by our installation team.
Resolving issues
Working with all other staff members, as required, to solve problems for best customer and company outcomes (sales, delivery and post-installation).
TrainingUndertake and contribute to regular sales and technical training in a variety of areas / product types.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- At least 2 years' residential solar & batteries sales experience
- Australian driver's licence
- Rights to work in full-time permanent capacity in Victoria
- You are proactive, self-motivated and energetic individual
- Enjoy meeting new people
- Positive, can-do attitude with a strong desire to learn
- Passion to provide quality solutions and customer service
- Able to take on board direction and feedback to work well in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with technical programs (MS office, CRM, Open Solar)
- Familiar with products such a as Tesla, Sigenergy, Fronius, Winaico, Aiko, Reclaim and Daikin
