We are looking for Full time cleaning supervisor to join our Brisbane Immigration detention Centre. The role of the Cleaning Supervisor is to ensure the overall hygiene of the facilities and ensure that cleaning activities are undertaken as per the Cleaning Plan.

Responsibilities

The role of the Cleaning Supervisor is to ensure the overall hygiene of the facilities and ensure that cleaning activities are undertaken as per the Cleaning Plan. This role will oversee and supervise the cleaning activities undertaken at Immigration facilities to ensure the standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained and that each area is cleaned to the specification and at the frequency required by the client.

The Cleaning Supervisor is further responsible for conducting stock takes and other audit procedures as required as well as rostering activities.

The Cleaning Supervisor will receive direction from the Site Facilities Manager but will be required to perform most duties largely unsupervised so must be responsible and self-reliant when carrying out their daily duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure cleaning activities are carried out as per the Site Cleaning Plan to the level required

Ensure sufficient levels of staffing to carry out required cleaning activities. Schedule and manage rosters and staffing requirements

Conduct stock take activities to ensure sufficient provisions of cleaning chemicals and necessary equipment

Actively seeking ways to improve work efficiency and identify areas where opportunities for business improvements can be realised

Active participation in quality improvement initiatives

Continuous improvement identification and implementation approached pro-actively

Undertake formal and informal workshops, seminars and other development opportunities for professional growth and improving service delivery

REQUIREMENTS:

Managing a team of employees within a cleaning environment (desirable)

Previous experience working in a hospitality environment involving cleaning and / or laundry service.

Skills & Knowledge:

Employees will be trained to access and understand the information contained in SDSs, including potential risks, how to handle each chemical, wear personal protective equipment, store, transport, use, dispose of and maintain records of disposal.
