As our business continues to grow, we are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Frame and Truss Detailer/Estimator to join our friendly and supportive team.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent trainee position, ideal for someone who is looking to start a career in the timber prefabrication and building industry. No prior detailing experience is necessary – full training will be provided.

You will learn to:

  • Read and interpret building and structural plans.
  • Use industry-specific software to design and detail timber wall frames and roof trusses.
  • Estimate materials and generate documentation for production.
  • Work closely with our production and sales teams to meet project timelines.

What We're Looking For

  • A willingness to learn and an interest in construction or design.

  • Basic computer skills are essential.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday.
  • Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

Desirable (but not essential):
  • Understanding of construction or structural drawings.
  • Previous exposure to or interest in the building or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with software such as Multinail, Pryda, or similar (training will be provided).
