About the role

Join the experienced team at The Rego Shop as a full-time Mechanic. Working in our workshop in Port Macquarie, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a vast range of vehicles to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role where you'll get to use the latest tools and equipment to keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting scheduled services and general maintenance on a variety of vehicles
  • Logbook servicing and repairs
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, and electrical faults
  • Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments
  • Service and repair aircon systems
  • Completing work in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer expectations
  • Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
  • Ensuring a clean, safe and organised work environment
  • Providing excellent customer service and advice

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Good communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Current driver's licence, able to drive manual cars
  • AIS and AUVIS vehicle examiner preferred but not essential
  • Aircon ticket preferred but not essential
