About the role
Join the experienced team at The Rego Shop as a full-time Mechanic. Working in our workshop in Port Macquarie, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a vast range of vehicles to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role where you'll get to use the latest tools and equipment to keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting scheduled services and general maintenance on a variety of vehicles
- Logbook servicing and repairs
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, and electrical faults
- Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments
- Service and repair aircon systems
- Completing work in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer expectations
- Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
- Ensuring a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Providing excellent customer service and advice
What we're looking for
- Relevant trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence, able to drive manual cars
- AIS and AUVIS vehicle examiner preferred but not essential
- Aircon ticket preferred but not essential
