Electrician

GEM Resourcing is recruiting for a skilled Local based A Grade Electrician with solar and battery experience to work across the Perth metro. This position is a full time, long-term opportunity to work with a reputable company within the Solar space.

About the role:

We are looking for candidates with experience with an electrical background to work on Solar and battery installation across Residential and Commercial. We seek someone with the right attitude and mentality to join our team long-term. We are happy to provide training when required and ensure our staff are happy and safe at work.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work independently on solar and battery installations, maintenance, and commissioning.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and solar system faults, including inverters and battery storage units.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on solar PV and battery systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, solar wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Ensure all work complies with Australian electrical and Clean Energy Council (CEC) standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, roof plans, and connection schematics accurately.
  • Install, test, and upgrade grid-connected and hybrid solar systems safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues across PV arrays, inverters, and storage components.

To be considered for these positions, you must be able to provide the following:

  • A Grade Electrical License
  • LVR and CPR certification
  • SAA Grid-Connected Battery Systems (GCBS) Accreditation (Desired)
  • SAA Grid Connect Photovoltaics (GCPV) Accreditation (Desired)
  • Reference contact details of two past employers
  • Based already in Perth, WA
  • Have the right to work in Australia
  • Current Driver Licence
