Software Developer

We're looking for a proactive and technically skilled Inhouse Software Developer to join our team and take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our internal software systems. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level developer with strong JavaScript and Ruby on Rails experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to troubleshoot bugs, lead system integrations, and ensure the smooth operation of our online configurator and business-critical applications. Daily Tasks may include:

• Maintain and enhance integrations between the online configurator, internal systems, and third-party platforms using JavaScript and Ruby on Rails.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to scope, test, and implement system improvements.
• Lead the testing and deployment of new features and fixes across cloud platforms.
• Document code changes, integration processes, and system architecture for internal knowledge sharing and business continuity.
• Participate in proactive system improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
• Communicate timelines and technical updates clearly to non-technical team members.
• Support business continuity by maintaining a deep understanding of system architecture and being able to step in if external support is unavailable

We're looking for a motivated individual with:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in full stack development, with strong skills in JavaScript and Ruby on Rails.
• Proven experience integrating systems via APIs and maintaining scalable web applications.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment platforms such as Heroku, AWS, or similar.
• A working knowledge of UI/UX principles and a user-focused development mindset.
• Proficiency with version control systems (eg. Git) and code repository management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• A self-motivated and independent work style, with the ability to take initiative and own outcomes.
• A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance system performance and user experience.
