Job Purpose

Formwork carpenter is an integral part of our team, contributing to the successful and efficient delivery of construction projects at LP Jon. This position requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in formwork carpentry and structural preparation for concrete works.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Formworker include but are not limited to:

  • Constructing and assembling formwork structures for concrete pouring in accordance with technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Measuring, cutting, and shaping timber and other materials with precision using hand and power tools.
  • Ensuring all structures are level, aligned, and meet quality and safety standards.
  • Repairing and maintaining existing fittings as required throughout the job lifecycle.

Key Requirements

To qualify for this role, the candidate must possess:

  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent as per ANZSCO requirements.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in formwork or general carpentry.
  • Skills: Proficient in using hand tools and power tools; ability to work accurately under pressure; reliable and safety-conscious.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of formwork drawings, Australian building standards, and site safety practices.
  • Language Proficiency: Competent English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Other Requirements: White Card and valid Australian Driver's Licence.
