We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site/Yard Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our site, ensuring a safe, efficient and productive environment. The Site/Yard Manager will play a pivotal part in developing and enforcing safety policies, conducting regular risk assessments and managing the logistics of site deliveries, visitors, and overall site operations.

The role:

  • Leading site safety and environmental practices to ensure work is performed in a sustainable way
  • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site safety walks and risk assessments.
  • Manage day to day operations including site deliveries, site visitors etc.
  • Oversee all site operations, managing change and challenges as they occur
  • Work with colleagues to deliver exemplary customer service
  • Review and update data and then use that information to make decisions
  • Strong people leadership and ability to work in a large and dynamic team

About you:

  • A track record of an uncompromising approach to safety and environmental management
  • Prior experience as a site or yard/facilities manager
  • Experience in a fast-paced and highly operational environment
  • White Card and driver's licence.
  • A trade qualification preferred or industry-relevant licence such a HR licence. Ideally, you'll have current machine tickets for an excavator, front end loader or forklift.
  • Being comfortable working on a computer with a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications/email.
  • Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement.
