Join One of Australia's Largest Sheep Stations – Station Hand Wanted

Jumbuck is a fourth-generation Australian business with over 130 years of experience in livestock and land management across the country.

We're currently seeking a full-time, permanent Station Hand to join our team at Commonwealth Hill Station – a 1-million-acre property running 30,000 Merino sheep with a dedicated team of 10. Located 110km west of the Stuart Highway between Glendambo and Coober Pedy, Commonwealth Hill is well-resourced and professionally managed.

What we're looking for:

  • Someone ready to build a long-term career in the pastoral industry
  • Confident riding 2-wheel motorbikes (or willing to learn)
  • Comfortable living and working in remote outback Australia
  • No prior livestock experience required – we'll train the right person

What you'll be doing:

  • Mustering sheep on 2-wheel motorbikes
  • Water runs (dams, bores, water points)
  • Yard work and fencing
  • General mechanical maintenance (engines, small motors)
