About the role

Bulk Transport is seeking an experienced Sales Area Manager to join our team in our Melbourne office. This full-time position is responsible for driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships across a designated sales territory. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in the transportation and logistics industry to identify new business opportunities and provide exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for the assigned sales territory
  2. Identify and qualify new prospective customers, as well as nurture existing customer relationships
  3. Provide expert product and service knowledge to customers, addressing their unique needs and requirements
  4. Collaborate with the wider sales team to share best practices and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling
  5. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients
  6. Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and sales activities
  7. Contribute to the development of marketing collateral and promotional initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Proven track record of success in a sales role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers
  3. In-depth understanding of the local market and competitive landscape
  4. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  5. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  6. Proficient in using CRM systems and data analysis tools
