About the role
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at Dr Michael Piras Dental in Burwood, NSW. As a Casual Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
What you'll be doing
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, mixing materials, and providing other support as needed
- Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are well-stocked and organised
- Greeting patients, managing patient records, and scheduling appointments when needed
- Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience
- Undertaking other administrative duties as required
- Cleaning as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in using dental software and technology
- A commitment to continuous learning and a desire to develop your skills
- A passion for healthcare and a genuine interest in dentistry
