Role Overview

As an Autism Practitioner/Behaviour Therapist, you will:

  • Conduct behavioural assessments and analyses using evidence-based tools.
  • Develop, implement, and review Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS guidelines.
  • Deliver individualised therapy services to children, teens, and young adults with varying needs, including those with complex or challenging behaviours.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to design and execute holistic therapy programs, especially for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and professionals to ensure impactful and consistent interventions.

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Counselling, Speech Pathology, Master of Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • Passionate about working with individuals aged 3–30 years.
  • 1–2 years of experience is ideal, but training is available for the right candidate.
  • A commitment to learning and applying a variety of evidence-based practices under supervision.
  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights.
  • Current NSW Police Check, Paid Working With Children Check and NDIS Screening check.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Local availability and flexibility for sessions primarily conducted between 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Pay: $40.00 – $52.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 4–6 per week as a starting point. Please note, for the right person more hours may be available. This role is currently CASUAL with a 6 month probation.

Schedule:

  • Afternoon shifts
  • Day shifts (opportunities for daytime support work, not therapy)
