About the role
This is a full-time opportunity to join the Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation as a HIPPY Coordinator in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic delivery and implementation of the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) across the local community. This is a vital role in supporting families and promoting early childhood development.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the recruitment, training and ongoing support of HIPPY home tutors
- Develop and implement the HIPPY program curriculum and delivery model
- Liaise with local stakeholders and service providers to promote the HIPPY program
- Build strong relationships with families participating in the HIPPY program
- Contribute to the overall objectives and operations of the Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering family support or community development programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- Commitment to supporting families and promoting positive early childhood development outcomes
- Familiarity with the local Tennant Creek community and understanding of the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
- Valid driver's licence
