The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

- $33.71 p/h super shift penalties
- Monday to Friday - 9 to 5 with option to work across multiple sites on a rotating roster
About the role:
MSS Security is looking for Security Officers to work at the courts within multiple sites across Sydney CBD. The position is primarily responsible for providing security presence at the court and to provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors. Your duties will be, and not limited to:
- Conduct foot patrols of court premises - outdoors and indoors
- Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required
- Direct and help visitors and public to navigate around the court areas
- Write reports in response to incidents
- Communicate calmly and clearly with key stakeholders
- Visitors sign in/induction and maintain key registers and issue key passes
About you:
The role is being offered as a relief officer Monday to Friday - 9 to 5 with option to work across multiple sites on a rotating roster.
We are looking for:
- Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate
- Current NSW Security licence
- Dedication, reliability, and a commitment to security
- Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with approachability
- High level computer literacy skills
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
