About the role

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic at Notorious Diesel, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and vehicles in our Port Hedland, Western Australia workshop. This full-time role offers competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work within an established automotive trades business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, transmissions, differentials and electrical systems
  2. Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a range of heavy vehicles and equipment
  3. Dismantle, repair and reassemble components to manufacturer's specifications
  4. Liaise with clients to understand issues and provide updates on repair progress
  5. Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
  6. Maintain detailed documentation and records of all work completed

What we're looking for

  1. Formal trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or equivalent
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  3. Strong knowledge of diesel engine technology and systems
  4. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and interpret results accurately
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  6. Commitment to high quality workmanship and customer service
  7. A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport
