About the Opportunity 

At Metcash, we champion independent retailers across Australia — and through Local Eyes, our Retail Media network, we're helping suppliers connect with shoppers in smarter, data-driven, and more creative ways than ever before.

As our Retail Media Sales Manager, you'll be at the heart of this transformation — driving growth, building lasting partnerships with suppliers and Category Managers, and crafting omnichannel media strategies that deliver measurable impact.

In this Role 

  • Drive growth: Achieve and exceed endemic sales targets by delivering high-performing retail media campaigns across digital, data, and in-store channels.
  • Be the connector: Build strong, trusted partnerships with Category Managers and Suppliers, deeply understanding their goals and helping them unlock value through Local Eyes.
  • Strategise and execute: Design and sell go-to-market packages and category-led media plans that help suppliers stand out and succeed.
  • Lead with influence: Shape the Retail Media sales direction, working hand-in-hand with the Head of Retail Media to grow our ecosystem and elevate Metcash's media capability.
  • Champion excellence: Partner with internal and external teams to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly, insights are shared, and every win is celebrated.

You're Likely a Match If

  • 8+ years' experience in Media Sales, Retail Media, FMCG, or Shopper Marketing.
  • A track record of smashing sales targets and growing commercial partnerships.
  • Confident communication and influencing skills – you inspire trust and action.
  • Commercial acumen and a knack for turning insights into compelling stories.
  • A love for collaboration, creativity, and fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with ad-tech and data platforms (CitrusAd, Epsilon, Google Ads Manager, etc.) is a plus.
