The Role:
As the Sprayer Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient application of herbicides across a variety of urban, regional, and natural environments. You will:
- Accurately identify plant species and apply targeted herbicide treatments to control invasive and unwanted vegetation safely and in line with environmental guidelines.
- Operate and maintain spray rig vehicles and equipment including knapsack sprayer.
- Mix and apply herbicides according to safety requirements.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and maintain accurate spray records.
- Work within environmental and WHS guidelines.
- Report hazards, incidents, and equipment faults promptly.
- Liaise with supervisors and team leaders to ensure smooth client services.
- This role may also provide general field-based labour as required.
About You:
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining spray rig vehicles and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in plant and weed identification effectively distinguishing native and invasive specifies.
- Experience in mixing chemical solutions and herbicide application in diverse environments.
- Hold a current Full Pest Management Technicians Licence, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver's license.
- A strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- A professional, courteous attitude when dealing with clients and the public.
- A flexible and proactive approach to tasks and working with others.
