Description:
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of allied health and lifestyle services that promote resident wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. This role is central to ensuring that therapy programs are person-centred, goal-oriented, and responsive to the diverse needs of our residents.
Working closely with physiotherapists, lifestyle teams, and nursing staff, you will ensure that therapy services are person-centred, culturally appropriate, and aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards. You will also support compliance with regulatory requirements to aged care sector, while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff.

Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with care staff and other health professionals regarding new resident assessment and resident change of health status.
- Collate information from resident progress notes and other parties to formulate appropriate therapy activities.
- Assess and document residents in areas of motor, sensory, cognitive, perceptual, communication and behavioural abilities, along with information relating to interests and social history.
- Implement ongoing resident evaluations and continually review treatment programs.
- Provide one on one and/or group remedial or maintenance treatment as determined by resident care objectives.
- Organise and implement general activity programs for the provision of purposeful activity, socialisation, community contact and recreation.
- Provide regular reports with regards to administrative, clinical and professional matters.

Skills and Experiences:
Key Role Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Experience in an aged care environment (highly desirable).
- Ability to develop therapy programs that are based on individual goals, cultural needs and preference.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy programs.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Literacy in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Working rights within Australia.
- National Police Clearance.
