Senior Wedding Florist

About the role

Arctic Fox Events' is looking for an experienced Wedding Florist to join our fun team of women. As a part-time role based in Burleigh Heads, QLD, you will be responsible for creating breathtaking floral arrangements and installations for our couples' special events. Although this role comes with flexibility, ideally the normal days of work will be 4 days per week Tuesday - Friday. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise and creativity in the floristry industry.

Applicants must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency status to be considered for this position.

What you'll be doing

1. Designing and producing high-quality floral arrangements, centrepieces, bouquets, and installations for weddings and events
2. Ordering flowers + sundries as required for the business
3. Arranging freelance florists where required
4. Maintaining the workshop, equipment, and inventory to the highest standards of quality and organisation

What we're looking for

1. Certificate III in Floristry or equivalent qualification is required
2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a wedding or event florist
3. Experience must be mainly focused on wedding floristry rather than general event work
4. A strong portfolio of previous floral design work, showcasing your creativity and technical skills
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results
6. Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design
7. Excellent time management and organisational skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
8. A passion for the floristry industry and a commitment to staying up-to-date with trends and techniques
