Job Type: Casual (8–10 hours per day + overnight shifts)

The Role

We are seeking a patient, calm, and reliable Support Worker to assist a 6-year-old boy living in St Albans who has cerebral palsy, is non-verbal, blind in one eye, partially deaf, and incontinent.

The ideal support worker will be compassionate, engaging, and physically capable — someone who can provide consistent, hands-on support and connect through gentle communication and play. The participant loves music and responds best to talkative, upbeat personalities who bring positivity and calm energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, high-quality personal care and daily support

  • Assist with mobility, incontinence care, and routine-based activities

  • Create a calm and engaging environment through music and interaction

  • Encourage communication and participation in meaningful activities

  • Maintain professionalism, patience, and emotional stability

About You

  • Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient

  • Physically capable and comfortable with personal care and mobility support

  • Experienced in working with children or participants with complex needs (preferred)

  • Reliable, consistent, and compassionate personality

Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • National Police Check (within the last 12 months)

  • First Aid & CPR

  • Right to work in Australia

  • Driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
