Join Our Team – Optical Dispenser & Patient Support (Full Time)

H2 Vision Centres, Sippy Downs

We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Optical Dispenser & Patient Support team member to join our friendly optometry practice at Sippy Downs.

This role is ideal for someone with a nursing, healthcare, or patient-care background, or simply a genuine passion for helping people. While experience isn't essential, you'll need to bring a warm, positive attitude and a willingness to learn — we'll provide full training. Did we mention the ability to have FUN

As part of our team, you'll:


• Welcome and support patients throughout their visit


• Assist with frame selection, lens dispensing, and patient care


• Contribute to creating a professional yet friendly environment

This is a full-time position, so we're looking for someone reliable who wants to grow with us long-term.

This position requires availability to work Monday through Friday plus Saturdays.

Saturday work is required on an occasional basis only.

We are currently seeking a dedicated, personable, and motivated team member to join our practice. This is a multifaceted role that combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on patient care and clinical support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Front Desk & Administration:

  • Manage patient bookings and appointments

  • Handle Medicare and HICAPS claims
  • Perform general reception and administrative duties

  • Clinical Support & Pretesting:

  • Operate pretesting equipment (full training provided)

  • Assist in the setup and support of clinical consultations

  • Dry Eye Clinic Involvement:

  • Receive training to assist in treatments using Intense Regulated Pulse Light Therapy (IRPL) equipment

  • Frame & Lens Selection:

  • Guide patients of all ages in choosing appropriate eyewear

  • Offer expert advice on frame styles and lens options to suit individual needs

  • Patient Engagement:

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with patients through attentive and personalised service

  • Ensure a welcoming, caring, and professional environment for all patients

What We're Looking For

  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Someone who enjoys working with people and has a genuine interest in patient care
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied responsibilities
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Previous experience in optometry, healthcare, or customer service is a plus, but not essential – full training will be provided
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
