Boilermaker/Welder required for immediate start in established rural business

After the standard probationary period, full-time permanent employment may be offered to the right candidate which includes paid leave, public holidays and the opportunity for regular overtime.

Applicants must be able to work unsupervised and have a valid driver's license.

Forklift and First Aid licenses are advantageous.

Duties include

  • Regular use of both stick and continuous welding techniques

  • Operate cutting and bending equipment when necessary

  • Read and interpret technical drawings

  • Pre-start checks on equipment

  • Follow safe work procedures

The advertised position is in a small rural Queensland town which has two junior schools and one senior school with excellent long-term resident teachers. The town has regular social events and is a friendly and welcoming community.
