About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Naval Architect to lead the development of high-quality vessel designs from concept through to delivery. In this role, you'll work closely with internal team members and external builders, producing designs that are built, tested, and continuously improved based on real-world insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of
small aluminium craft
for commercial and recreational applications - Produce accurate
3D models, assemblies, and production drawings - Perform
structural reviews, hydrostatics, and stability calculations - Collaborate with builders to tailor designs to real-world fabrication and usage
- Ensure all designs comply with
NSCV, ISO, AS1799, and Lloyds SSC
standards - Support
prototyping and internal platform development - Help
mentor junior designers
and contribute to design evolution across the team
What You Bring:
- Degree in
Naval Architecture
or related marine design field - At least
5 years' experience
in small craft or aluminium vessel design - Proficiency in
Autodesk Inventor
; experience with Rhino 3D, Maxsurf, or Orca3D is advantageous - Solid understanding of
marine compliance and fabrication principles - Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with external stakeholders
- A
thoughtful, practical approach to innovation and continuous improvement - Personal interest in the marine industry or boating is highly regarded
