The Opportunity:
Broken Hill Health Service and surrounding facilities within Far West Local Health District (FWLHD) are seeking experienced Consultants, Staff Specialists or VMOs for ongoing locum shifts throughout

You'll provide senior clinical coverage in your specialty area, with options to take on higher-paying shifts that include after-hours or on-call responsibilities. This is ideal for specialists who enjoy hands-on care, autonomy, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to regional service delivery.

About the Hospital:
Broken Hill Health Service is a major regional referral hospital in NSW, offering:
  • Emergency, inpatient and procedural services
  • General surgery, anaesthetics, and high-acuity medicine
  • Strong allied health and nursing teams
  • Support for junior doctor education and supervision
  • Opportunities to lead services or support smaller district hospitals
What's Included:
  • Up to $3,500/day (dependent on specialty and shift type)

Eligibility Requirements:
  • AHPRA Specialist Registration
  • Fellowship with a recognised college (e.g. FRACP, FACEM, FANZCA, FRACS)
  • Experience supervising junior staff
  • NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
