About the Team

The Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy division builds capability across the aged care sector, empowers older people and oversees the Commission's regulatory strategy and regulatory practices, as well as analysis to inform risk-proportionate regulatory activities. This division communicates to, and manages relationships with key audiences, including older people, aged care providers, workers and Commission staff. Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy is also responsible for the operational policies and procedures that underpin the Commission's regulatory functions. This division is headed by the Deputy Commissioner Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy.

The External Communications Section leads delivery of a range of communications programs and initiatives to support the Commission's role as the national regulator for aged care.
