We are now seeking an
Underground Fitter
to join our
Maintenance team
at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Accountable to the Supervisor UG Mechanical Maintenance. This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster; we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

About The Role

• Carrying out maintenance tasks in the underground area as directed by Maintenance Supervisors,
• Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance and ensures that the Values are adhered to at all times.
• Maintaining Underground and in pit dewatering pumping systems, Fuel bays, Primary ventilation fans, refuge chambers and fixed plant assets underground and in the mining areas.
• Availability to work a callout roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdowns.

About You

• A commitment to working safely
• A relevant Mechanical trade qualification as either a fitter and machinist, automotive or heavy diesel fitter, fitter welder or similar with proven fitting experience.
• Experience in the maintenance of pumping and ventilation systems or heavy industrial plants preferably with experience in the mining industry.
• The ability to work underground and in pit locations
• The ability to work as part of a Multi-skilled Workforce
• Computer literacy
• Possession of Mobile crane CN, dogging DG, Rigger basic RB, Elevated work platform WP and Forklift LF high risk work licenses highly regarded
• Current Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights certificate
• Current C Class Driver's License
• Existing working rights in Australia (mandatory)
