Are you a passionate chef seeking a unique opportunity in a stunning tropical location? Elysian Retreat, an exclusive eco-luxury resort located on Long Island in the Whitsundays, is looking for a talented Chef to join our team.

About Us:

Elysian Retreat offers a boutique, all-inclusive experience, catering to a maximum of 20 guests or exclusive island hires. Our focus is on creating memorable, sustainable experiences, with bespoke menus crafted from fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced and innovative Chef who can:

  • Design and prepare high-quality, customised menus for small groups.
  • Showcase creativity with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
  • Manage inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure the highest quality produce.
  • Accommodate dietary preferences and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of menu development, dietary requirements, and food safety.
  • Ability to work independently in a small team environment.
  • Previous experience in boutique resorts, luxury lodges, or remote locations is a plus.
