About the role
RRoayel Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman/Carpenter to join our growing team in Orange, NSW. As a Foreman/Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of an 80 room hotel and ensuring it is completed to the highest quality and on schedule. This is a full-time role, offering competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work for a respected construction company.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and coordinate various tradespeople to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and manage expectations
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to meet deadlines and financial targets
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on-site in a timely and professional manner
- Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and capabilities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Foreman/Carpenter in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of construction-related software and technology
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., carpentry, construction management)
