About the role

This is a permanent full-time role in the Parks and Recreation team, based from Council's Batemans Bay Depot. The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee Parks activities, leading a small team to ensure projects are delivered in a safe, consistent, and well-organised manner.

The starting salary for this position is $3,042.44 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

About you

You are an experienced and motivated professional with a passion for parks and recreation. You thrive in team environments and have a proven ability to supervise, mentor, and inspire both staff and contractors to achieve work program goals. Your application will further demonstrate:

  • Relevant trade certificate, or a demonstrated ability and willingness to obtain one.
  • Significant hands-on experience in parks and recreation, where you have successfully controlled and monitored projects.
  • Strong technical skills, enabling you to confidently undertake all practical aspects of parks and recreation activities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of plant capabilities and outputs relevant to the field.
  • Ability to perform the physical tasks required for Council's operations.
  • Well-developed oral, written, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
