With our Head Office located in Rowville, Victoria, we are looking to add to our Software team, to meet the increasing demand for our survey equipment with its proprietary software system.

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented, enjoy working with technology and keen to work as part of a dynamic local and international team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Design, development and maintenance of applications software for scientific/engineering measuring equipment, database, and web applications produced by ARRB Systems
  • Providing support documentation and software for ARRB Systems equipment
  • Supporting the Testing team in analysis, creating and updating test plans
  • Maintaining the traceability and security of the software developed
  • Technical quality and rigor of outputs
  • Assisting with software releases, procedures, and user manual documentation

Skills required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Basic experience with Windows Forms and writing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and basic design principles.
  • Exposure to .NET technologies for web development (e.g., ASP.NET Core, C#).
  • A solid grasp of software design fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.
  • Awareness of the software development lifecycle, including Agile or iterative methodologies.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and UML diagrams.
  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles.
  • Interest or experience in scientific, engineering, or digital imaging software development.
