The Role

We are seeking a passionate Diversional Therapist to design and deliver lifestyle, leisure, and wellbeing programs that enhance independence, social connection, and quality of life for our participants.

This role presents a great opportunity for someone who is creative, compassionate, and committed to making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement individual and group wellbeing and lifestyle programs.
  • Facilitate recreational, social, cultural, and community-based activities.
  • Promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being through engaging activities.
  • Encourage independence and skill development in daily living and social participation.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervise and mentor support staff during activities and programs.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes, reports, and documentation in line with NDIS standards.
  • Ensure participant safety and uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in disability, community services, aged care, or a related field.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • First Aid & CPR certificates.
  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS, person-centred care, and community participation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Disability, Community Services, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience designing and running lifestyle or wellbeing programs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive practices and behaviour support strategies.
