We're Hiring: Fabricators / Boilermakers / Welders – Seaford VIC

Prefab1 is a commercial building company with a strong focus on modular construction. Based in Seaford, Victoria, we handle all steel fabrication in-house and are proud of our growing reputation, working on high-profile commercial projects across Melbourne.

As we continue to expand, we're looking to grow our fantastic fabrication team with skilled and driven tradespeople who are proactive, adaptable, and ready to take on a variety of workshop and site-based tasks.

The Role:

Join our Seaford-based fabrication workshop as a key team member reporting to the Weldshop Supervisor. You'll be hands-on in delivering high-quality fabrication and welding work and may have the opportunity to contribute to on-site installations around Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out welding and metal fabrication per plans and specifications
• Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and teammates to meet project deadlines
• Maintain a tidy and safe workspace in line with company protocols
• Take initiative and ownership of tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes
• Operate forklifts (if licensed) to move materials as required
• Participate in on-site installation work on residential and commercial builds

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a fabricator, boilermaker, or welder
• Competent in MIG/ARC welding and interpreting technical drawings
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Valid forklift license preferred
• EWP and Working at Heights licenses desirable
• Willingness to work on-site when required
• Cert 3 in metal fabrication or welding advantageous
