We have a unique opportunity for aSchedule 26 qualified Supervisor for the drill pad rehabilitation works we are undertaking for a Client in the Newman region. Supervising a close-knit, culturally diverse and team, you will be responsible for site supervision, team and SME fleet management as well as compliance for the project. Reporting to the Project Manager, your focus will be on overseeing daily operations with a focus on safe and efficient practices and maximising the potential of our people.

The Role

  • Providing leadership, mentoring and support to your team while ensuring that work is delivered safely in line with schedules and plans.
  • Demonstrate a strong safety focus and driving an engaged safety culture, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements across all operations.
  • Contributing to the development of systems, standards, processes, and procedures for standardised work management.
  • Reviewing plans and performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring the performance of work crews and providing training, mentoring, and coaching as necessary.
  • Leading pre-start meetings and ensuring there is a strong safety focus on outcomes.
  • Management of crew, rosters, client relationships and associated compliance and administration with the role.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining rehabilitation environments and have a proven track record in supervising culturally diverse teams.

  • BHP Inducted (preferred)
  • Schedule 26 with exam completed Statutory Supervisor Certification(essential Client requirement)
  • Working knowledge of mine safety procedures and regulations essential
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience and proven success in a mining Supervisory role, including SME fleet management
  • Competent with thorough understanding of computer systems and digital tools to support daily tasks (Preference is that you pick up new systems with ease)
  • Current valid Driver's License
  • Flexible and approachable leadership approach
  • Senior First Aid Certificate including CPR
  • 4WD Certificate
